The sales department had a stellar month in June with a record of 11 properties sold, including a sellout subdivision at Old Beach. This was over twice the properties sold by our office in June 2008. Prices appear to be stable with median and average prices for June in 2009 hovering in the $280,000 to $300,000 range (as it also did in June 2008). These figures are also reflected in the sales prices achieved in total for the general Hobart area for June 2009. The Real Estate Institute of Tasmania’s Tasmanian Property Market Report for June 2009 indicates a median sale price for the general Hobart area as only marginally greater than that achieved by our office at $321,364.
